Ooooh, this picture brings back some memories. The girl in black sitting to the right is one of the coolest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. This was taken when I was on vacation two summers ago during a time when I really didn't give half a sh1t about much of anything. I was sort of out of place here, I hated the kids (mostly, with the exception of two) and hated the counselors (mostly, with the exception of ONE). Jeanette was also kinda out of place so we both stuck together like glue. When she was down, I helped her up. When I was down, she helped me up. I owe her a lot. She also showed me how good I actually had it, she's been through a lot more then I hope I ever will be. She's one of those people that's going to be stuck in my head for a long time, if not forever. I lost contact with her after the camp... so, I don't know where she is or what she's doing. Jeanette, if you our there... Thanks.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I was a little discouraged with a bunch of photos that I took on this roll of film... They were a bit grainy and lacking in quality, and the lighting was really bad in a lot of them. I managed to salvage this one and a few others though, so I guess it wasn't a complete loss.
Yep. I've only just recently managed to borrow a cannon 20mm camera from an uncle of mine who got a digital 20mm and didn't need the film one any more. I haven't really gotten to shoot much with it yet though. Most of the places I go to take pictures aren't exactly "Camera friendly" enviroments and since the camera isn't mine...
Glad you like the photo though, I'm planning on posting some more stuff in the next month soon as I can develop alll the film and post-process the stuff.
This is a really poignant photo - something about the poses of the two girls makes it seem really intimate despite the long distance shot and the group of people to the right.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

Don't dwell on reality; it will only keep you from greatness.
